Though the deal was only officially rubber-stamped earlier this week, Ratcliffe has wasted little time in trying to make his mark, bringing in Omar Berrada, who has become United's new chief executive, from Manchester City, and attempting to draft in Dan Ashworth. The latter has been placed on gardening leave by Newcastle United after informing them of his desire to become United's inaugural sporting director.
After years of mismanagement at the top of the club, Ratcliffe is in the process of building a new-look team to oversee the club's hunger for on-the-pitch progression. As well as being keen on adding Ashworth to United's top table, Jason Wilcox, who is Southampton's director of football, is also on Ratcliffe's radar.
