Manchester United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly identified Zinedine Zidane as a potential target should the club decide to part ways with Erik ten Hag.
Ratcliffe and INEOS have already started to implement significant changes at Old Trafford since acquiring a 27.7 percent stake in the club. Ten Hag's future at the club has remained unclear and talk of the Dutchman facing the sack has only accelerated following Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Fulham.
Ten Hag will enter the final year of his contract at Old Trafford in the summer and it's yet unclear whether he will enter a third season at the club. MEN Sport understands Ratcliffe is not completely sold on keeping Ten Hag at Old Trafford after an underwhelming season.

The Reds currently sit sixth in the Premier League and endured early exits from the Champions League and Carabao Cup. Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is understood to be among the potential replacement options United are looking at.
According to Foot Mercato, however, the 'dream' is to bring Zidane to the club. The former France midfielder is out of work after leaving Real Madrid in 2021 and has been tipped for every big club across Europe since. Ineos' current chief executive, Jean-Claude Blanc, is said to be a big fan of Zidane and attempted to lure him to Paris Saint-Germain previously.
It isn't the first time that Zidane has been tipped to become the new head coach at Old Trafford. In 2021, the 51-year-old was heavily linked to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before Ralf Rangnick was appointed on a short-term
