Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has called on his team to show the same resilience against Nottingham Forest as was possessed in the second half at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
The Reds were staring down the barrel of yet another defeat thanks to two set pieces in the first half against Aston Villa. But United managed to dust themselves off after the interval and secured an unlikely three points thanks to an Alejandro Garnacho brace and Rasmus Hojlund winner.
Next up for Ten Hag's men is a trip to the City Ground to face Nuno Espirito Santo's team who are still buoyant after their best result of the season at Newcastle United this week. Reflecting on Tuesday night and looking ahead to this evening, Ten Hag told the club's in-house media: "The determination, the resilience: this team is strong.

"They have the personalities to deal with setbacks. And we have had so many across the whole season, or half. You don't want to have such bad experiences, but we have had them and we have dealt with them.
"Yeah, they have taken confidence of course from the win against Newcastle. That is a massive win for them and now they want to go for a win in their stadium.
"They will be energised, no matter what. So we have to play our best and we have to play our game. To make that, we need the best performance."
"We want to give our fans, in the last game of the year, a win," he concluded, "and we have to give everything. We have to take the responsibility once again.
"So we need an investment from everyone around because there are no easy games in the Premier League, but definitely not this one."
