EastEnders' Alfie Moon given bad news after hospital visit with 'tough road ahead'

Alfie Moon is set to get worrying health news on EastEnders next week.
The BBC soap favourite is set to go through a 'tough road' relating to a health battle where he gets bad news. Next week, Phil goes to the bookies and gets Alfie to look after Tommy and Ernie while Kat is away visiting Little Mo.
Freddie looks to Alfie for advice before letting slip that it was Tommy who told him where to find Graham before Alfie confronts his adopted son and he storms out. Alfie and Tommy reunite at the park, where the youngster is told to go home.
Phil witnesses the interaction and goes on to share some home truths regarding Alfie's parenting techniques. Alfie tries to make amends with Tommy afterwards but is left injured after they clash again, but the pair make amends after Alfie apologises for being an absent father.
Having heard about the incident with Tommy, Phil shares with Alfie that Tommy has also lashed out at Kat in the past. After noticing Alfie grimaces in pain from the punch, Phil insists he visits the hospital for a check-up.
When Alfie returns to Walford and attempts to apologise to Linda, she notices something is wrong and he's not his usual self. Meanwhile, Alfie struggles to process his recent news as Tommy confides in someone that he is worried about his dad following his hospital trip.
This comes after EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw said there is a 'tough road ahead' for Alfie in the upcoming months. "We have a big Slater summer with the intentions behind Theo, which will be revealed," he said.
