EastEnders star Thomas Law is back on the popular BBC soap after 13 years away to reprise his role as Peter Beale. He opens up about his return to the show and reveals that his mum was the one who sparked the idea of him coming back to Walford. “My mum’s a chaperone here, and she introduced herself to Chris Clenshaw (executive producer) at one of the EastEnders parties,” says Thomas.
“She obviously mentioned that I’m her son, and I think Chris got very excited by that. “I spent time in Cape Town, then I was in Los Angeles for three years on and off,” he says. “But now I’m back filming under half an hour away from where I live – it’s too good to be true. I see my family pretty much every day.
"We’ve had a nightmare with losses in the family and cancer has caught a couple of us. It’s one thing after another. We’ve always been close, but we’re even closer now.” Thomas’ comeback was first revealed in June alongside Michelle Collins and Adam Woodyatt aka his on-screen parents, Cindy and Ian Beale who are set to return very soon.
"I've known for like a year prior to coming back about the story," confesses Thomas. " And from the very first meeting with Chris, I just wanted to start. I just wanted to start because I was apprehensive
