K.J. Yossman The Curtis Brown Group has launched a new unscripted and entertainment talent division, tapping former YMU agent Martha Atack to lead it. The division will offer artists across entertainment, comedy, factual and digital multi-hyphenate representation across the agency with the aim of launching them globally.
Existing Curtis Brown Group clients, ranging from comedians to thought leaders, will be brought together under the inaugural U&E umbrella, which will also enable acting clients the chance to break out into new areas and explore unscripted and entertainment opportunities. Current clients include “Loki” actor Richard E. Grant – who last year hosted the BAFTA Film Awards – as well as former “The Great British Bake-Off” presenter Sue Perkins, newly-anointed “This Morning” anchor Cat Deeley, artist Grayson Perry and comedian London Hughes, among others.
Unveiling the new division, Curtis Brown Group also announced a host of new clients. As well as actor Emily Atack (Disney+’s upcoming “Rivals”), which Variety exclusively revealed on Tuesday, the latest signings include Mercury-nominated musician Kojey Radical and radio broadcasters Yasmin Evans and Greg James. “It’s a privilege to be overseeing a new era of unscripted and entertainment talent representation at Curtis Brown Group,” Martha Atack said in a statement.
