Coronation Street's Sally Ann Matthew's sends three-word message as Jenny Connor leaves Rovers and fans 'refuse to believe' it

Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews didn't have too much to say after fans witnessed the end of an era which they 'refuse to believe'. During Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles, viewers watched as Weatherfield's most iconic instituon, The Rovers Return, was boarded up.
The beloved pub, the watering hole for many of the street's most famous residents, has been involved in a bit of a rollercoaster ride of late after Jenny Connor was forced to sell as the cost of living crisis bit. During Tuesday night's episode of the ITV soap (September 26), viewers saw Waterford's manager arrive to break the news that they’re closing the Rovers for an extensive refurbishment and that their contracts have been terminated with immediate effect Jenny and the staff are thrown into a spin.
Luckily, local solicitor Adam Barlow was in the pub at the time and heard everything and offered to see if they had grounds for unfair dismissal. He later returned to speak to Jenny and the Rovers staff, sharing they could fight Waterford's but they would be left footing the costs when they lose their case.

And so in the meantime, the group, full of rage, thought they might as well go out with a bang before the place was boarded up for the foreseeable future and offered their punters free drinks and encouraged them to 'bleed the place dry'. But the decision later came back to bite Jenny as she was forced to put herself forward for the manager role at the revamped Rovers.
