Coronation Street star Todd Boyce has finally addressed his exit from the show as he says that viewers will be 'pleased' with Stephen Reid's demise. Fans of the ITV soap have been eagerly awaiting the end of the desperate businessman ever since his true intentions for his return to Weatherfield were uncovered.
Todd reprised the role of Stephen in the long-running soap just over a year ago and his return came 15 years after he was last seen on the famous street, and 26 years after making his debut in the role of Audrey Roberts' son. But not much was ever known about the son that Audrey gave up as a youngster.
And a decade on, he returned with only money on his mind as he lost everything in Milan. So he set about fleecing his own mother due to the dire state of his finances but as Leo Thompkins discovered the truth following his not-so-secret kiss with girlfriend Jenny Connor, Stephen's murder spree began.

Stephen pushed Leo to his death in a wheelie bin after they got into a tussle on the Underworld factory steps. A couple of months later, after he realised that his son wasn't in Canada and had started to do some digging, Stephen killed Leo's dad Teddy with a hole punch.
He later disposed of the body, bundling it into the roof box on Audrey's car before later disposing of it in the canal. Then more recently, after killing businessman Rufus Donahue in his own pool and nearly going ahead with bumping off his now-ex but then wife-to-be Elaine Metcalfe.
