The 36 year old first joined the iconic soap opera in 2014 as Gemma Winter, and over the years, has successfully made the transition from bad girl gone good, after she was introduced as drug dealer Callum Logan's pal. Fast forward almost a decade and Dolly, aka Gemma has settled well into Weatherfield life, from welcoming quadruplets with veteran character Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) to bagging a job at the local takeaway, Prima Doner. Where is Dolly from? Dolly was born in Salford, Greater Manchester on 12 April 1987. As a teen, the 36 year old attended a youth theatre with her friend in Bolton and went on to study acting at Manchester’s Arden School of Theatre. The school has a number of alumni who also went on to work on Corrie, including Cherylee Houston, who plays Izzy Armstrong and Tracy Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock.
