Coronation Street fans 'hope it isn't' as they work out Lauren's secret boyfriend ahead of explosive return

Coronation Street fans have shared their 'hope' that Lauren Bolton's secret boyfriend isn't who they think it could be. The teen has claimed to be seeing someone who is helping fund her new spending habits.
Last week, Lauren was accused of stealing £80 from the till at Roys Rolls by Shona Platt and Bernie Winter. It came after she splashed the cash on former love interest Max Turner, who is now loved up with Sabrina Adetiba. She got him a fancy watch as a 'thank you' for his support but it soon led to a clash with Sabrina.
In the process, she was suspended from her job at the café until Shona found the missing money in a different compartment in the till. Lauren has since refused the offer of her job back but did appear to make amends with Sabrina and gushed to her about her new secret man, much to her relief.

During Monday night's (December 4) trip to the cobbles, Lauren was seen opening a small parcel, out of which she pulled out a small box which contained what looked like an expensive necklace but she didn't seem thrilled by the gift.
However, she later walked into the cafe for a drink and left Shona begging for her to reconsider her job. Lauren forced a smile and claimed she was set for a job at the call centre, which led Max to notice the sparkling necklace hanging around her neck. Again she claimed it was off her new 'fella' and made a swift exit.
