Coronation Street fans were unimpressed to find their mid-week fix of Weatherfield action had been taken away from them as coverage of the latest FA Cup ties continued.
Both ITV and BBC covered the multiple matches on Tuesday and Wednesday evening with the results deciding who would make it through to the quarter-finals of the annual knockout football competition.
But for Corrie fans, coverage of Liverpool's three-goal winner against Southampton, which will now see them face Manchester United in the next round following their 89th-minute win over Nottingham Forest, replaced their usual Wednesday night viewing - and not everyone was happy.

It comes after other viewers pointed out that fans of the ITV soap haven't been treated to the usual transmission pattern for weeks. Following the latest move, broadcaster Tony Blackburn even shared his thoughts.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he wrote: "This is now beyond a joke for all us Coronation Street fans. More football this evening on BBC and ITV which means no Corrie. Why can’t they put football on other channels and leave us Coronation street fans alone or put Coronation street on say ITV2 we will follow it anywhere !!!"
And fellow Corrie fans were quick to respond. @Suej1959 replied: "Absolutely disgusting i was just getting ready to watch #corrie. Stuff football." @EispyEils said: "I love football Tony but even I’m fed up with Corrie being sacrificed in recent weeks in favour of it! As you say, they have other channels they can use."
@ChristineBlackx shared: "Agreed! It’s bloody ridiculous!
