Coronation Street has been warned not to 'forget' as fans were reminded of a soap 'heartthrob'. During scenes aired in the ITV soap on Thursday night (February 29), Toyah Habeeb and Alyaz Nazir were attempting to cheer up their friend Dee-Dee Bailey.
Dee-Dee has recently had her heart broken by her boyfriend Joel Deering after he was forced to admit that he has a wife and a daughter following some digging by Alya. His estranged wife Emily has since visited Dee-Dee to plead Joel's case and confirm they are no longer together and in the process of divorcing.
As the women spoke about their own disastrous relationships and dating experiences, Toyah admitted to having eyes for Steve McDonald when she first arrived on the cobbles back in the late 90s.

Toyah, portrayed by Georgia Taylor, said of the popular character, played by Simon Gregson: "All the girls used to fancy him... He looked like something out of a boyband."
Corrie jumped on the chance to share a throwback photo of Steve, saying on social media: "Toyah wasn't lying! Swipe to see Steve back in 1997 >>> #Corrie." And while many fans were quick to gush over the younger star, others were remembering another character.
@chippie1973 said: "Don’t forget Andy too! They both had the “Boy Band Look” back in the Smash Hits days lol." @vintageblond replied: "I had a poster of them on my bedroom wall." @aaronsharp123 commented: "I remember Steve and Andy his brother." Cubby MacIsaac added on Facebook: "Been watching him since he and Andy were 16. One of my favourites."
Of course they're talking about Corrie's
