Coronation Street fans have said 'one question remains' after they were left distracted by Adam Barlow, despite him only being minorly involved in the latest dramatic scenes on the cobbles. The character, played by Sam Robertson, was seen with the Platts during Friday night's episode (October 14), as they appeared concerned for Sarah Barlow.
Unbeknownst to them, as they awaited for news of Stephen Reid being found after it emerged he was a murderer on the run, the broke businessman-turned-serial killer was actually in the Rovers Return with his niece and his partner Jenny Connor.
Stephen ended up bumping Sarah over the head with a bottle before he pleaded for his passport. When Sarah woke from being unconscious, she hit her uncle with a chair but not before he managed to grab a broken bottle and threaten Jenny.

The confrontation then spilled onto the street in front of the Rovers Return where Stephen's horrified family watched on. With his passport back, Stephen looked set to spare Jenny thanks to his mother Audrey Roberts' appearance in front of him. However, he ended up being run over by Peter Barlow, moments after he’d set Jenny free, and confirmed dead before the episode came to a close.
