Seeing the Northern Lights is something on the top of most people’s bucket lists and Iceland is one of the best places to spot them during the winter months. For a limited time Icelandair is offering a holiday package deal with flights, accommodation and tours all included for less than £500 per person.
The offer is running from September 20 to October 4 and covers return economy flights with the airline from Manchester Airport, London or Glasgow to Reykjavik. The three-night holiday package includes a hotel stay with breakfast and three tours and experiences, starting from £459 per person.
The Northern Lights, also called the aurora borealis, are beautiful waves of light which appear to dance across the sky. They’re caused by particles from the sun hitting the Earth’s magnetic field. They can be seen from northern countries including Sweden, Finland and Iceland, although they can sometimes be seen in the UK.

Holidaymakers can enjoy the Northern lights tour, a three-hour tour allowing you to see this incredible natural phenomena. The deal also includes the FlyOver Iceland experience, where you can experience the country’s spectacular scenery through virtual reality.
Iceland’s top-rated attraction, the Lave Show, is another experience included in the package. The award-winning attraction recreates a volcanic eruption and allows you to safely experience hot lava in close proximity.
