Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls has made his fans super happy after stating he will be back on the show, ending speculation that Richard Madeley would be his replacement. He told his Instagram followers that he's not going anywhere and even shared a photo of him posing with Oscars paraphernalia, to plug ITV's upcoming coverage of the prestigious awards ceremony.
Ed, who is an ex-Labour MP wrote: "So exciting - my ITV Oscars kit has just arrived - popcorn, wine and a face mask - what more does a guy need?" He added: "So anticipation is now definitely building for the exclusive Oscars show on #ITV and #ITVX this Sunday with Jonathan Ross - and I'll be back dissecting all the detail Monday morning on @ GMB with Susanna and Richard #Oscars2024 - see you Monday and have a great Sunday night of celebration!". GMB fans can't wait to see him again as one person commented: "Come back to GMB been rubbish without you and Ben," while another added: "Thank god you're back @edballs the programme misses you." Others were just as excited, with comments like: "Oh thank goodness you're back on Monday" and "Oh Ed so so pleased you're back on GMB on Monday".
Ed has popped up on GMB now and then over the last few months, co-hosting with Kate Garraway recently and Susanna Reid several times. In February, Ed was forced to apologise to viewers after he swore live on TV.
At the time, Susanna had said: "Still to come, he took on David Beckham and Liz Truss. Now, Joe Lycett has set his sights on sewage, he's here next to tell us why he's wading in." Then, the camera switched to comedian Joe, who was still getting ready.
