BBC's Saturday Kitchen viewers were left saddened this week when they realised that the show had not been dedicated to the late Dave Myers.
Dave's Hairy Bikers co-star Si King sadly revealed this week that his best friend has passed away at the age of 66 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Dave and Si were regular contributors on the reality cooking show with my fans tuning in this weekend with the hope to see a tribute to the much-loved star.
However, instead they discovered the opening of the show had host Matt Tebbutt and his panel of guests wave flags in celebration of 'Rick Stein Day.'
Matt then went on to deliver a short speech as he recalled his fondness for Hairy Biker Dave before a special video of him and Si was played, the Mirror reports.
When the clips finished, Matt said: "He [Dave] would have relished being part of celebrating Rick today. So, let's carry Dave in our hearts and get on with today's show."
This insufficient gesture left fans fuming with some sharing their upset over the measly tribute online.
Someone wrote: "Rick Stein Day? ! Seriously? Shouldn't today's programme be dedicated to Dave Myers? #saturdaykitchen."
Another person took to X, formerly known as Twitter to fume: "Shouldn't you lot on #saturdaykitchen at least wear a black arm band in respect to #hairy."
A third posted: "WTF - in the week we lose Dave Myers #SaturdayKitchen decides to spurn one of their most entertaining guests go with 90mins of kissing Rick Stein's a**e? !
"Not even a mention of him in the opening segment. Unbelievable."
Another echoed: "I hope we have a whole episode dedicated to Dave Myers soon. Considering he was regularly on the show and even a host, I thought more time would be dedicated today. #SaturdayKitchen."
