Dave Myers' heartbreaking message to Hairy Bikers fans ahead of his final show

Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers sent a touching message to fans about the latest episode of The Hairy Bikers Go West before his death. Dave would have loved for fans to watch the "magical series" he made with his friend Si King before he passed away at 66. Ahead of the latest episode, the duo's joint Instagram page shared a message from the late star.
The post read: "Despite such sad times we know that Dave would have wanted you to continue to enjoy the magical series that he shot with Si last year. We'd like to thank everyone from all over the world, who has reached out with messages of love and support over the last few days. Every one of them has been read and truly appreciated," reports the Mirror.
Dave died after a battle with cancer - but he refused revealed which type of cancer - and Si announced the news on his social media page. He penned a heartbreaking tribute, which read: 'Hi everyone, I’m afraid I bear some sad news. Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years.
Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home. “All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own.Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment.
My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can’t follow. I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime. “I wish you god’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world.
