Dave Myers shared a touching final message on his last Hairy Bikers episode.
The beloved TV chef, who was 66, sadly died last month after being diagnosed with cancer. While the BBC was showing their latest series, Dave was bravely fighting his illness with chemotherapy. In the most recent show, Dave and his best mate Si King filmed in Devon and Dorset and talked about how special it was to work together during such a tough time.
Si said: "We've done it, but more importantly he's done it. He's my mate but I love him like family, like a brother, and I'm lost for words. It's quite remarkable what he's done".
Dave added: "Who knows what the future holds but for the moment I'm living in the present, and it's pretty fine." As the show ended, there was a special message for Dave that read: "In loving memory of our friend, Dave Myers. He'll be greatly missed." The series entitled Hairy Bikers Go West, took the two friends to places like Manchester and Newport, and even a trip to Bristol. Dave talked about all the delicious foods he got to try while travelling around the UK as well as remembering the good times he and Si had while making the show.
At the end of one episode, Dave opened up about his dreams for the future and shared his positive thoughts about food in the UK. He shared: "It's the most wonderful snapshot of the West Country.
