BBC Strictly Come Dancing has announced its first wave of contestants who will be taking part in the show, which begins next month.

A Barbie-themed brunch and dinner event is coming to Manchester celebrating all things pink.
Transporting attendees into the ‘fabulous universe of Barbie’, the all-ages event at a pop-up location on Norfolk Street in the city centre will feature themed drinks as well as VIP movie giveaways, trivia sessions and even sing-a-long sessions to Aqua’s hit Barbie Girl.
Organisers have promised the venue for the events, which include brunch, lunch or dinner sessions over two days in September, will be transformed into a Barbie wonderland featuring all things pink with plenty of Instagrammable props.

Fans will be able to take part in competitions to win movie tickets, as well as testing their know-all in trivia games where surprise prizes will be handed out to the best quizzers.
Attendees are also being encouraged to don their best Barbie-inspired outfits to really soak up the fun. A spokesperson for promoter Sellout, who are also hosting Barbie-themed brunches in Canada and Australia, said: Get ready to step into a world of pink and glamour as we announce the most exciting event for all Barbie enthusiasts!
