A boy aged 12 was brutally kicked and punched in a gang attack in a park - with footage of the assault now circulating online, police have revealed.
Thankfully, the youngster escaped with only 'minor injuries', Greater Manchester Police added as an investigation continued.
The force called the attack in Rochdale 'shocking' and said it was 'aware of footage of the incident circulating online', although no further details were revealed.

The schoolboy was in Denehurst Park in Rochdale, off Sandy Lane in the Spotland area of the town close to Rochdale AFC's ground, at the time. Police said he was attacked by a 'group of youths', although no exact number or descriptions have been provided. Details of the incident have only just been confirmed.
In a statement, GMP said: "Officers are continuing to investigate reports of an assault in Denehurst Park, Rochdale, on Friday 21 July 2023.
"At around 12.45pm, a 12-year-old boy was reported to have been assaulted by a group of youths in the park. He was kicked and punched during the incident, sustaining minor injuries.
"Officers are conducting extensive enquiries to identify those responsible, and have been liaising closely with schools and partner agencies in the community to help progress the investigation."
PC Connel Cunningham, from GMP's Rochdale division, said: "We are aware of the incident in Denehurst Park and we are aware of footage of the incident circulating online. We are currently still working on an exact picture of what has happened.
