Anton Du Beke says Strictly Come Dancing 'getting really volatile' as he picks 'perfect' contestant

Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has given his verdict on his 'perfect' performance of the series so far. The professional dancer, who has performed on the BBC dancing contest with stars before becoming a judge, admitted that the pressure is mounting for the 2023 contestants.
Speaking on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, he said: "I know we say this every year but I think this year is really fascinating. What I'm really loving is the fact that every week somebody else wins.
"Adam won't be delighted in me reminding him but it was the first time at the weekend that we had someone right in the middle of the leader board, in the dance-off. So now it's getting really volatile. No one is safe, everyone has got to be on their game. And it's so exciting."

On awarding only one 10 so far in the series, which was to Layton for the Salsa, Anton said: "It was outstanding and there wasn't anything to not like. I talk about this package of a dance and it all came together perfectly. I think about it in a way that I'm not sure there was anything else he would have been able to do, even if he had more time. For me, it's as perfect as that dance could have been."
He admitted though that all couples are struggling with ballroom and could not pick any of the contestants who have been 'stepping it up' in terms of his signature dance. "They're all got their problems and I'm happy to talk about them," he added.
