BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Adam Thomas says 'this is awkward' after fans 'heartbroken'

Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas declared 'this is awkward' as he addressed his latest performance after sparking concern. On Saturday night (November 4), the Waterloo Road star and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk returned to the ballroom for week seven.
The pair were hoping to impress after being given the red light treatment last weekend as they landed in the dance-off with the fifith couple to be elminated from the BBC One dance contest, Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prime.
During the latest live show, Adam and Luba performed an elegant rumba to Dancing On My Own by Calum Scott. Lit only by a spotlight, the actor and his partner twirled their way to a score of 27 for their emotional routine which held a special meaning for Adam as he performed to his and his wife Caroline's wedding song.

Getting the judges' comment, Motsi Mabuse said he did “really well” as a leading man as she felt Luba looked great, but noted some of his movements needed more refinement. But their scores meant Adam placed bottom of the leaderboard alongside Irish TV presenter Angela Scanlon and her dance partner Carlos Gu following their energetic samba to Ain’t It Funny by Jennifer Lopez.
Following the live show, Adam looked disheartened but appeared to accept defeat as he told his social media followers that he tried his best. Posting a video from backstage in a now-delated Instagram Story, according to the Mirror, the 35-year-old said: "This is awkward, I did the best I could do, I really did.
