A horrified mum has refused to live in her new council flat after she discovered a used needle in her baby's room.
Lauren Fleming, 21, her partner, Calum Murray, 21, and their one-year-old baby, Maisie, were due to move into their new home in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, this week. But the family were met with horror when Calum discovered a dirty needle in one of their rooms.

South Lanarkshire Council confirmed it had brought in an external factor to conduct a search, however, Lauren argues that they didn't check the radiators "properly".
She said: "I know the previous tenant, so we knew there could be a chance that there could be needles in the house. We requested a sweep. I asked them to check the radiators and they only checked behind them. It obviously wasn't searched properly.
"It was a big needle and it makes me sick to think about what could have happened if Maisie got hold of it."
The incident has left the family "disgusted" and reluctant to move into their new home. In the
