Who will replace Neville Parker on Death in Paradise? Three stars who could step into role

The episode of Death in Paradise that aired on Sunday 24 March saw DI Neville Parker sail into the Caribbean sunset with DS Florence Cassell seemingly leaving Saint Marie for good. Ralf Little has played the part of Neville for four years now, having joined the show in 2020. Neville arrived on the island hating the weather and slathering himself in sun cream.
But over time, embraced life in Saint Marie. While it hasn’t been confirmed that Ralf has left the show, it seems that is pretty likely considering Neville was determined to explore and travel away from the island. So if Ralf Little has left Death in Paradise, who could be the actor to replace him? While he might seem more of a Hollywood star now, Idris Elba, has played many television cops over the years.
One of his biggest roles being with the BBC was playing DCI John Luther in the series, Luther, between 2010 and 2019.
The show was so well-received that it even got a Netflix spin-off film in 2023. However, if Idris does join the cast of Death in Paradise, he might have to take on a more straight-laced persona than Luther. Idris has also starred in The Wire, Silent Witness, and Five By Five where he also served as the executive producer.
The second actor up, Richard Armitage. Fans will recognise Richard from Netflix’s latest Harlan Coban thriller Fool Me Once. He played Joe Burkett, the husband of Maya Stern (played by Michelle Keegan) who was brutally murdered in the show.
