Standing at 6ft6, Bayindir is an imposing presence in the goal at Turkish giants Fenerbahce. He has made a total of 145 appearances for his club since joining in 2019 from Ankaragucu.
During those appearances, the 25-year-old shot-stopper has kept 44 clean sheets and conceded 162 goals. Bayindir is also a Turkish international having received his call-up from Senol Gunes in 2021; to date he has made five appearances for his national team.
In 2022/23, Bayindir earned himself the captain's armband at Fenerbahce having impressed with his leadership qualities. Should the Reds wish to sign the 'keeper, he has a £4.3m release clause inserted into his contract which Erik ten Hag's team will have no problems activating.
