A toddler was left "hysterical" after being attacked by a dog in the middle of the street in broad daylight. Emma Owens, 3, was left with a bite mark on her side after she was set upon by the Staffie-type dog in Dennistoun, Glasgow.
Her mum, Elizabeth Owens, 36, picked Emma up from nursery last Thursday, August 10, and was walking along Whitehill Street at around 4pm when she noticed the dog out with its owner, reports Glasgow Live.

"She stood and said nothing. I was in shock to begin with. My daughter was hysterical. All I was focused on was lifting her high enough to make sure it didn't go for her again.
"As I grabbed her it attempted to go for her a second time. She has got two bruises where the dog caught her but luckily it didn't break her skin."
The traumatic incident has had a big impact on Emma and her mum says she is now terrified of dogs. However, she says her daughter is extremely lucky that she got away with only a few bruises.
The 36-year-old said: "She was very wary of dogs to begin with. I've always told her to ask the
