Three men are in police custody after officers discovered several large boxes of vapes inside a van that was stopped by officers following a suspected break-in.
At around 1.15am this morning (February 13) officers from GMP’s Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit (TVIU) were alerted to a possible break in at a commercial building on Chester Road, Stretford.
Following a short pursuit a Ford Transit van was stopped by police. Officers searched the van and discovered numerous large boxes containing vapes that were later seized.

After the discovery three men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted burglary. The men- aged 18, 19 and -24 - are being questioned on suspicion of attempted burglary.
Chief Inspector Paul Bray, of GMP’s Specialist Operations branch, said: “This is just a snapshot of one night in the region where we're going after those causing the most harm to our communities and arresting suspected burglars.
