Michelle Elman has shared new photos after revisiting the place where her cheating ex-boyfreind proposed to her.
The This Morning star made the decision to return to the spot in a bid to "reclaim" it, despite the location being "filled with memories". Michelle, 31, got engaged to her ex-boyfriend earlier this year, but just 24 hours later she found he'd been unfaithful to her and their three-year relationship ended. She's been open about her heartbreak ever since, having shared her story on social media, and now regularly shares updates as she navigates life as a single woman.
On Thursday, 13 June, Michelle took to Instagram to reveal she'd visited the location where her ex asked her to marry him. She posted a string of photographs from the trip, including a stunning bikini shot, and explained the "importance of reclaiming" to her followers. "At the weekend I returned to the place I got engaged.
I’d made a plan to go back next month but when a friend and I discovered we had no plans for the weekend we decided to go paddleboarding spontaneously. Spontaneity is one of my top values and I have realised I haven’t made enough time for it the last few years," Michelle began her post. She went on to list the things she'd gotten up to on her trip, saying she'd visited the beach as her ex "hated sand" and even cooked the same meal that she'd been in the midst of eating when he popped the question.
Michelle posted a snap of a freshly painted white bench, revealing that it previously had the date of her engagement on it. "And my heart filled with warmth realising my bench had been painted white for a fresh start. We had gone to the bench to paint the date of our engagement on it with ours names right after our engagement.
