This Morning fans have said the show has found 'the one' to replace Phillip Schofield after Holly Willoughby was seen 'having trouble'. Ben Shephard has won praise from viewers of the ITV daytime show after he returned to front the show for the first time in six years.
He last hosted the show with Holly in 2017 and it comes as the 42-year-old hasn't had a permanent co-host since Schofield's sudden exit in May. The veteran broadcaster 61, initially 'stepped back' from his role on the ITV daytime show after more than 20 years as he said rumours about his fractured relationship behind the scenes with Holly had 'become the story'.
However, he then issued his resignation a week later after he admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague. Since then, Holly hasn't had a permanent co-host with Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Craig Doyle. But on Monday, Ben joined Holly at the helm in a break from his duties on Good Morning Britain and is set to return on Tuesday (September 26).

Following his appearance on Monday's show, Holly and Ben were seen together in a video on This Morning's Instagram page and it showed them recalling a blunder Holly made during their last hosting appearance together.
At the time, the pair were discussing 'welly wanging' and Ben was heard asking Holly whether she had ever hit anything she had been aiming at with the welly.
