Holly Willoughby suddenly goes missing from This Morning as she's replaced and viewers aren't holding back

This Morning fans were surprised to see Alison Hammond on the show as they tuned into the penultimate episode of the week. The presenter suddenly replaced Holly Willoughby on the ITV daytime show on Thursday (October 5) and took to the helm with Jose Gibson.
Holly, 42, has typically always taken Fridays off from the show, but not usually a Thursday as well. She also recently enjoyed her lengthy summer break and will likely be gearing up to take some time off This Morning this month for the usual October half-term.
Those watching at home did, however, take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on it as they noticed Holly hadn’t announced she would be missing during Wednesday’s show, which was now her last of the week.

One person asked: "Is #HollyWilloughby off on her 'hols' again? Well to be fair she has worked a 4 day week for at least 3 weeks...." (sic). Another said: "Holly having a day off!!#thismorning." A third added: "I never thought that I would ask this, but where's Wally? Sorry Holly! #ThisMorning."
Kicking off the show, Josie welcomed viewers to Thursday's programme and informed viewers: "And look who's joined me it's only the one and only Alison Hammond."
The new Great British Bake Off host replied: "I hope you don't mind, I got a bit jealous when I saw you and Holly..." She went on: "Is that OK? I hope you don't mind." And Josie appeared delighted as she said: "Of course not, I love you!"
