Holly Willoughby – Man charged over 'plot to kidnap This Morning star'

A man has been charged over an alleged plot to kidnap and murder Holly Willoughby. Gavin Plumb, 36, is accused of incitement to commit rape, soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap.
He is set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today after being held by officers on Wednesday. Superintendent Tim Tubbs said "This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges.
"The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this as the investigation proceeds." It comes as the This Morning star failed to appear on the TV sofa on Thursday and was placed under "police guard". The Sun reported police allegedly found sinister messages on a number of devices threatening to kidnap and seriously harm the presenter.
The presenter, 42, was then reportedly placed under "police guard" after the "plot to kidnap" the This Morning star was unearthed earlier this week.
After first hearing of the news, Holly was said to be “distraught” as she was only alerted to he kidnapping plans when police informed producers moments before Holly was due to take to the airwaves in her usual morning broadcast slot. On Friday, Holly's ITV colleagues said it was a "really worrying sinister story" as they discussed what the TV star has been going through.
Good Morning Britain then reported a man not known to Holly Willoughby was arrested at his flat in Harlow on Wednesday night. Holly's co-star Ben Shephard said: "This is a really worrying sinister story for a good friend of ours, a colleague, of course we know Holly very well she only works in the studio next to us."
