This Morning Cat Deeley's love life and 'terrifying' reason she moved back to UK

Cat Deeley is now a permanent presenter on This Morning alongside host Ben Shephard. The pair are replacing Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who dramatically quit the programme last year following a string of turbulent headlines.
Cat and Ben will serve as the faces of This Morning, Monday to Thursday, while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will present the show each Friday. Cat is a familiar face both here and across the pond in America.
The 47-year-old soared to fame on terrestrial TV as host of Saturday morning children's show, SM:TV Live, from 1998 to 2002. The West Bromwich-born star became part of a much-loved presenting trio alongside Ant and Dec, with the group becoming firm friends. Cat told ITV's Lorraine in 2021 that the Geordie duo were like 'brothers' to her, adding: "We always say it was the best time of our lives, and we didn’t really know it at the time."

Having begun her career as a model in the 1990s, she secured a role on MTV, presenting Hitlist UK alongside Edith Bowman from 1997. After leaving SM:TV, Cat hosted ITV's Stars in their Eyes from 2003 to 2006. She also presented the Brit Awards in 2004, arriving on stage while sitting on top of a giant champagne bottle.
But she enjoyed even greater success across the pond, hosting So You Think You Can Dance since 2006, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy award on five occasions and became a household name in the United States. Cat told the Big Issue in 2020 that she she had never visited the country before she found fame there.
