A thief posed as a delivery man before pulling out a knife and threatening a woman for her engagement ring.
The terrifying burglary happened on Osbourne Road in Hyde at around 5.50pm on Friday, December 22 last year, police said. The victim was at home when a man knocked on her door and shouted 'Amazon'.
Believing he was a delivery driver, the woman opened the door before he forced his way inside and pulled out a pen knife. He demanded she hand over her jewellery.

The thief was able to steal a 'valuable' engagement ring and a watch, police said. He then made off in an 'unknown direction'.
Police shared a picture of the engagement ring on the GMP Tameside Facebook today (January 15) as part of an appeal urging anyone with information to come forward. Officers also want to speak to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage from around the time of the burglary.
