Charlie Dean has been an ice cream man for 28 years , but it was only during the pandemic when he and his son decided to take the popular desserts on the road.

There's a wide selection of flavours, including Oreo, or Lotus Biscoff cookie dough with ice cream, brownies, or waffles and the Candy Shop Stop - ice cream topped with sherbet, sauce and a selection of sweets.
But the most popular by far is its school cake, which comes in a tray with either ice cream or custard.
"My dad's built up a reputation as he's been an ice cream man for so long," said son Adam, who has his own van to help with the rounds.
"I always joke that he's more famous than Ronaldo and he comes round with the Match of the Day theme tune on his van."
He added: "We started the deliveries in lockdown when only takeaways were available, people weren't able to get out and the sun was shining.
"Since then we've carried it on. We take orders for most evenings and we're really busy at weekends. On a good night we can deliver 30 portions of school cake."
The pair, from Bolton, buy the cakes from a local baker and say it's always fresh that day.
"We don't keep it and save it for the next day," said Adam. "We can't do that as the taste isn't right, but we usually sell out anyway."
They also take the vans to events and fairs, taking bookings for school fetes, festivals and carnivals across Greater Manchester.
