Fans of The Traitors have said 'how cruel' as they didn't know whether to laugh or cry over one particular detail in Diane's 'funeral' scenes. It was a long wait for fans of the BBC One show to find out if the retired headteacher had in fact drunk the fizzy wine which would see her "poisoned and killed".

Their panicked plan was then set into action with Miles being the one to deliver the drink to Diane before the episode ended leaving viewers wondering if she had taken a sip. So at the start of Wednesday's (January 17) show, it was confirmed that Diane took a sip of the drink given to her by Miles, which should have “murdered” her.
