Ahead of the Season 1 finale, Syfy has renewed its hit original series The Ark for a second go-round. The renewal comes amid strong ratings for the series from Independence Day writer-producer Dean Devlin.
The first season of The Ark reached 6.5 million viewers across all platforms, according to Nielsen and Syfy. In L+3, the February 1 series premiere was the best in total viewers (1.1 million) since January 2021 (Resident Alien) and tops in the 18-49 demo since October 2021 (Day of the Dead).
The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.
Devlin and Stargate SG-1 writer-producer Jonathan Glassner serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Season one cast includes Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read and Ryan Adams.

The network shared the announcement on Thursday. “Station 19” follows a group of heroic Seattle firefighters as they put their lives and hearts on the line. The series aims to take viewers inside the tough, tight-knit and sometimes heartbreaking world of the city’s first responders. In addition to the renewal news, Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige have also been appointed as showrunners and executive producers for the upcoming season. As Variety previously reported, former showrunner Krista Vernoff announced her departure from both “Grey’s Anatomy” (which is currently in its 19th Season) and “Station 19” in January.

The action thriller that stars Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati trended on the No.1 spot as the most watched series in India for three consecutive weeks after launch last month and continues to be in the top 10 series in India for the fifth week in a row. It trended in Netflix’s global top 10 for non-English TV for two weeks after it launched on March 10.

The procedural follows John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), the oldest rookie in the LAPD, who uses his life experience, determination and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Nearing the end of his training, Nolan now faces his biggest challenge as a police officer when he must come to terms with the choices he has made in pursuit of the truth. Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O’Neil, Eric Winter, and Jenna Dewan join Fillion among the cast. In the next episode, which airs April 18, Officer Tim Bradford’s (Winter) ex-wife, Isabel, returns and asks the team to help her save someone from her undercover past. Her return also creates additional pressure in Lucy (O’Neil) and Tim’s relationship as they assist her in the search. “The Rookie” Season 5 finale will arrive on Tuesday, May 2.

Christopher O’Dowd stars as Dusty Hubbard, a seemingly content, cheerful family man and high school teacher, watches everyone around him reevaluate their life choices and ambitions based on the machine’s printouts which leaves him questioning his own happiness. Though he remains skeptical of the machine, his wife Cass (Gabrielle Dennis) starts to dive into the idea that she could have something bigger in store for her. Up until the arrival of the Morpho machine, the couple lived a seemingly easy and safe life. But all of that changes when the community is forced to take stock of their unfulfilled achievements in pursuit of a better future. The series is based on M.O. Walsh’s novel of the same name.
