Strictly’s Rose Ayling-Ellis announces exciting new project after Eastenders exit

Emmerdale fans will be pleased to know that ITV will be airing three back-to-back episodes of the well-loved soap on Thursday 15 September. The decision by ITV comes after the broadcaster has shaken up its usual television schedule following the death of Her Majesty the Queen last week – something which has since dominated TV channels across the UK. While Emmerdale will finally be back on our screens again, it will still be behind its usual schedule and will air at 7:30pm.The three episodes that are being shown were due to be aired earlier this week.

In the wake of the Queen's death, there have been massive changes to the regular TV schedules as the country observes a period of national mourning. BBC One and ITV changed their schedules to accommodate breaking news coverage of the momentous event, and a number of special programmes celebrating the long and historic reign of Queen Elizabeth II went on air in the place of the usual shows.

Jaime Winstone has said playing a young Peggy Mitchell in a flashback episode of EastEnders will be an “amazing milestone” that “bookends” her journey with Dame Barbara Windsor. Former EastEnders icon Adam Woodyatt has reportedly landed a new role which will see him double his soap salary.The actor, who played Ian Beale in the BBC production, is set to star in the UK tour of My Fair Lady as Eliza Doolittle’s dustman dad Alfred.The part, which will see the 54 year old perform in 158 shows across nine months, is reportedly very well paid with Adam in line for a potential salary of £500,000. Each show will reportedly see the former EastEnders star earn £2,000 with added extras that could see him earn £3,500 a show depending on ticket sales.
