Adam Thomas has shared a 'rare' sight' with his fans to plenty of support as he prepares for his stint on Strictly Come Dancing. The actor is among the 15 celebrities who have signed up to the BBC One dance contest's 21st series which starts this month (September).
But the news of his new gig came before he shared a health diagnosis with his loyal following. Adam, 35, shared how he had been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints.
He shared last month (August) how his symptoms started with his knees before moving to his wrists, fingers and now ankles and toes. He said his diagnosis came after several blood tests and visits to doctors and hospitals. Adam has since been sharing how he's trying to manage the pain with regular swim sessions and getting back to his routine in the gym.

And the Waterloo Road star appears to be happy with his progress as he posed for a topless snap on social media after previously sharing how he'd stay covered up even when on holiday. "A very rare sight … me with my top off!" he started the caption of his post which saw him smiling and flexing his bicep for the camera.
Adam, who stars as Donte Charles in the school-based BBC drama, went on: "But I need to get comfortable feeling uncomfortable! Am not in the best shape of my life but, I could be worse.
"This year has been tough there’s no doubt about that… but I’ve just got to stay focused now! I’m still struggling and the pain is still there but I’m putting on a brave face I’ve got to stay strong!! Swimming helps me so much with my arthritis, i mean as much as it kills me
