A Scots teenager was given the surprise of a lifetime after he was called up by Shania Twain to perform on stage during her gig in Glasgow.
Matty Peberdy, from Greenock, said he was still living on cloud-nine after the unexpected experience on Thursday night - describing it as a "dream come true".
The legendary country singer and the 17-year-old performed a rendition of "Life's About to Get Good" together on stage at the Ovo Hydro after Shania asked Matty his favourite hit.
Matty, who attended the concert on his own, had no idea that Shania would call out his name when she spent some time talking to the crowd.
He captured the star's heart when he tweeted earlier on Thursday encouraging anyone who was going to see Shania alone just enjoy the experience and go for it.
During the gig Shania said: "I really just respect that whole attitude because no one is alone, especially not in this room. You are not alone here, honey, you are loved and I'd just love to get a hug."
Reminiscing on the experience, Matty told the Record: "It has to be one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I feel so overwhelmed and still have the emotion I was feeling then. I don't think it has fully sunk in - it's just madness.
"I never really thought anything about my tweet and when she was up on stage with an envelope, I thought maybe there was going to be an engagement or a gender reveal.
"Then I heard her say she's got a message from Matty. I thought, 'ok don't get your hopes up, you've probably just misheard'.
"Next thing I was going up on stage and everything was a bit of blur because I was just star struck."
