Lorraine Kelly was joined on her breakfast programme on Tuesday morning by actor Damian Lewis when the pair seemed to forget they were on television as they both swore live on air before being forced to apologise by ITV bosses.
The HBO Band of Brothers actor joined the Scots presenter on the couch to discuss his career taking a new spin, as he opened up about the release of his first-ever album, which he wrote himself.
The conversation then turned to Damian's Sky drama Billions, which the Hollywood star said was: "A show about "a*******s being a*******s," before a completely unaware Lorraine quipped: "Yes it is a show about a*******s."
Moments later however Lorraine appeared to get a telling off for the blunder from ITV bosses in her earpiece. She said: "I apologise, I apologise. But I'll refrain from saying what I said."
Trying to hold back from laughing, she added: "I thought that word was allowed? Everybody watching me, 'Ooh, they're so offended.' Not."
Homeland star Damian, 52, secured a contract with Decca Records earlier this year and put out his debut album Mission Creep in June after making moves into music in recent years with a series of small live shows.
His first hit single from his record, Down On The Bowery, dropped today.
Damian is said to have channelled his heartache into the album two years after the death of his late wife Helen McCrory, who was known for her role in Peaky Blinders.
