A teenage boy has been charged in connection with a fire that caused thousands of pounds worth of damage at a Scots farmland.
The 17-year-old was cautioned and charged with culpable and reckless conduct following the blaze at farmland in Spott Road, Dunbar, on May 8 of this year.
Emergency crews had rushed to the scene as locals reported seeing "flames high above the tree time".
As reported in Edinburgh Live, police said the fire had caused extensive damage, with thousands of pounds worth of hay bales destroyed in the blaze.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old male has been cautioned and charged with Culpable and Reckless conduct following a fire-raising on May 8.
"This occurred near to farmland at Spott Road, Dunbar, and caused a significant amount of damage, costing thousands. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
On the date of the fire, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Four appliances were sent to the scene after we were alerted to hay bales being on fire."
"Crews are in attendance at Spott Road, Dunbar where bales of hay are alight. Thank you to those members of the public who have called to alert us. The incident is now being dealt with."
