Rylan Clark has said he purchased the 'original' Big Brother diary room chair after admitting he bought the iconic staple of furniture on the reality show as a "birthday present to himself" - declaring he is still the show's "ultimate fanboy."
The 34-year-old television presenter shot to fame on the show back in 2013 for its eleventh series and went on to win the cash prize. The previous year he had a failed stint on X Factor, which also put him in the public spotlight.
He posted a video to his Instagram page on the pillar box red chair, which featured on the earlier series of the show which previously aired on both Channel 4 and Channel 5 before it made an iconic return to screens this year on ITV.
"When you buy the original Big Brother 5 Diary Room Chair as a bday present to yourself. As the Ultimate fanboy I couldn’t resist adding this to my collection. Nadia, when you coming over #bbuk," Rylan captioned the post alongside a heart emoji.
Rylan, who co-hosted the spin-off show with AJ from 2013 to 2018 when it was on Channel 5, hilariously filmed himself on the iconic chair doing an impression of a whinging housemate complaining to Big Brother.
He joked: "What's going on? I can't wait any longer. I am tired and exhausted and I don't want to be here anymore can you just take me out of her please," as he waved his hands around and posed sulking on the chair.
