Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been in 'talks' to discuss an action plan moving forward if their efforts to fix the ongoing feud with the royals falls through.
It comes following reports in the Mirror that the Duke of Sussex, who stepped down as a working royal with Meghan in 2020, has been left on standby to return to the UK and undertake duties if his family needs him amid their ongoing health woes.
Harry made a whirlwind trip back to the UK following the news his father King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer earlier this month, which came just weeks after Kate Middleton suspended her royal duties following abdominal surgery.
The duke has made it clear he would be open to mending the rift among the family despite his explosive claims since he and Meghan moved to the US in their bombshell Oprah Winfrey chat, subsequent Netflix series and tell-all memoir.
The Sussexes appeared to take aim at not only the monarchy itself but senior members of the family. Now Harry and Meghan are said to be coming together to hatch a plan on their next steps if Harry's attempt to reconcile doesn't take off.
A source told OK! Magazine: "There have been plenty of emotional conversations and heart-to-hearts over the best way to handle the situation and move forward. Harry wants to put an end to the feud and regrets the way things have turned out."
The source added that repairing his damaged relationship with his family is the 'only option' for Harry.
