"National Lampoon's Vacation" is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The movie follows the Griswold family as they embark on a road trip across the country, starting in the suburbs of Chicago and ending at a Southern California amusement park. Along the way, the family goes through one mishap after the other, while visiting kooky family members along the way.

Ethan Shanfeld UPDATE: Former ABC News producer James Gordon Meek pleaded guilty to transportation and possession of child sexual abuse material on Friday. According to a press release distributed by the United States Department of Justice, while visiting South Carolina in February 2020, Meek “used an online messaging platform on his iPhone to send and receive images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and to discuss his sexual interest in children.” Meek then transported the iPhone containing the illegal material back home to Virginia. Meek is scheduled to a sentencing hearing on Sept. 29, where he will face a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum penalty of 40 years.

The Gaslight Anthem have shared a new single featuring Bruce Springsteen and announced their first album in nine years, ‘History Books’.The New Jersey four-piece are due to release the 10-track record on October 27 via their own label Rich Mahogany Recordings – pre-order/pre-save it here. Following on from 2014’s ‘Get Hurt’, the upcoming collection was first previewed earlier this year with the song ‘Positive Charge’.Today (July 21) sees the arrival of the title track from ‘History Books’, a “heavy-hearted” team-up with fellow New Jersey native Springsteen.Speaking about how the single came about, Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon explained: “When Bruce Springsteen said I should write a duet for us, I think my head exploded.“It will never get old to me that one of the greatest songwriters in the world, and the voice of one of my heroes will forever be captured in a song I wrote at a small wooden desk, in October, in New Jersey.”Per a press release, the collaboration explores “the power in letting go of what no longer serves you”.

Thania Garcia Dead and Company’s sold-out “Final Tour” has raised $2 million dollars for charity thanks to the band’s specially curated memorabilia auctions. The summer trek, which kicked off earlier this May in Los Angeles, features original members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane and officially concluded on July 16 with a sold-out show at San Fransisco’s Oracle Park. According to HeadCount, the show raised over $700,000 — $275,000 of that sum coming from the sale of the official tour guitar and over $150,000 coming from Hart’s fine art sale.
