Those will be held in Dallas and Houston on April 14 and 17.Following those performances, the South Korean musician will hold concerts in Phoenix and Las Vegas, before heading over to California to play shows across three different cities in the state.

Iron Maiden have announced a North American leg of their ‘Future Past Tour’ set to commence in autumn 2024.Kicking off on October 4, 2024, the metal veterans will play at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in San Diego, CA. From there, the band will head off to major cities such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Portland, Denver, Rosemont, Toronto, Quebec and Montreal.The following month, the group will take on the East Coast on November 1 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Sacramento Bee, San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Tom Garza issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Chino Valley Unified School District from enforcing the policy, which is one of six school districts in the state to have adopted policies requiring parental notification when a student doesn’t conform to gender norms or stereotypes.The Chino Valley policy was challenged by Attorney General Rob Bonta, who argued that the policy violates the privacy rights of LGBTQ students, and endangers the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of transgender and gender-nonconforming students.The Orange Unified School District was the most recent to adopt a policy similar to Chino Valley’s — coming after Bonta’s lawsuit was filed — with school boards in Murietta, Temecula, the Anderson Union High School District in Shasta County, in the northern part of the state, and the Rocklin School District, northeast of Sacramento.The policies are increasingly being adopted in conservative enclaves throughout the state as part of a larger societal backlash against transgender visibility — which has been encouraged by conservative influencers and Republican Party leaders.A group of activists recently filed a ballot initiative — one of three targeting transgender youth visibility — that would impose similar parental notification policies on districts throughout the state.The Alaska State Board of Education recently approved a proposed regulation barring transgender girls from competing on female-designated high school sports teams for any districts that are part of the Alaska School Activities Association.

Porno for Pyros have announced their first tour in 25 years in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their self-titled album.Titled ‘Horns, Thorns En Halos’ tour, the 21-city run will kick off on October 8 in Wheatland, California. From there, the band will be making stops all across North America including Las Vegas, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois,  Boston, Massachusetts,  Atlanta, Georgia, Nashville, Tennessee and more.The tour will wrap up on November 20 at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas.

Fox’s new crime anthology drama Accused launched behind the Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers NFL game on Sunday. The twisty legal thriller from Howard Gordon kept some 8.4M viewers for the duration, setting a ratings record for Fox. But a number of them were left fuming after local Fox stations across the country accidentally cut away in the final minutes, denying them the resolution of the story starring Michael Chiklis.

The remains of a woman who was murdered 18 years ago were finally identified this week using genetic genealogy, a cutting-edge field of DNA science.  The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office originally found the remains in March 2008 and a coroner determined that the woman died by homicide sometime in the fall of 2004.  Law enforcement reviewed hundreds of missing persons reports, distributed photographs of her clothing and jewelry to the media, and created a composite drawing of what she may have looked like, but the case went cold for years.  Shannon Vielguth was identified by law enforcement as the woman whose remains were found in 2008 in Sacramento.  (Sacramento County Sheriff's Office) In 2021, investigators reopened the case using genetic genealogy and were able to identify the woman as Shannon Vielguth by comparing her remains to the DNA of a close family member.  Vielguth, who was 35 years old at the time of her disappearance, had been a transient for about six months before she was murdered, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.  "Based on law enforcement records, Vielguth was most likely in Reno, NV and Sacramento in October 2004, which coincides with the time she was most likely killed," the sheriff's office said.  Scientist pipetting a DNA sample into a petri dish with a DNA profile in the background. Gene Maddaus Senior Media Writer Talks between the Motion Picture Association and the Hollywood labor unions have failed to produce an agreement on a new law that would address firearm safety on movie sets. The two sides backed competing proposals earlier this year in Sacramento in response to the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico last October. Both bills would have established a training standard for film armorers — a job that is currently almost entirely unregulated. The union proposal would have been more sweeping, however, establishing the role of a “set safety supervisor” who would have the power to shut down productions. Both bills stalled in the legislature in May, but the two sides continued to talk in hopes of reaching an agreement before the Aug. 31 legislative deadline.

Residents of the vast majority of California’s 58 counties should be wearing masks, according to the CDC. That’s because 40 of those counties are now designated communities with “High” Covid levels. Less than one month ago, the number was 13.

Pop duo Aly & AJ were "caught in the crossfire" of a mass shooting that left six dead and injured 12 early Sunday morning. The sisters explained they were "distraught" after the shooting, but confirmed everyone in their touring group was ok in an update made via Twitter. "Distraught by the mass shooting last night outside the venue in Sacramento," they tweeted from their official account.

The first big studio wide release in three weeks, Paramount’s The Lost City, kicked off at 3,400 theaters yesterday at 4PM for a $2.5M take.
