Police are asking for the public's help in tracing this man after a woman was punched in the face for refusing to speak to a man in the city centre. The assault took place on Tuesday 31 May 2022, outside the Spar on St Mary’s Gate, Manchester just before midnight.
The woman was approached by a man who attempted to speak to her, but when she did not reply he punched her in the nose. The woman fell to the floor unconscious and hit her face on the pavement.

She was left with what police described as 'nasty injuries' to her forehead and lips and required stitches at hospital.
