Firefighters battled a blaze at a three-storey building in Manchester city centre this morning.
Crews were called to John Dalton Street at around midnight. Five fire engines were scrambled to the scene.
The blaze broke out in a three-floor commercial property, a spokesperson for the fire service said. A stretch of the road was cordoned off by crews this morning as they made the scene safe.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At around 12am on Wednesday 7 September, firefighters were called out to a fire at a three-storey commercial property on John Dalton Street, Manchester.
“Five fire engines from Salford, Manchester Central, Moss Side and Broughton attended the scene and used breathing apparatus, two hose reels, ventilation and breaking equipment and a gas detector to extinguish the fire. Crews remain at the scene to help make it safe.”
