Pep Guardiola said his Manchester City players would need to lift themselves as soon as possible as they aim to be crowned champions of the world next week.
Winning the Champions League in June has given City a place in this year's Club World Cup - a tournament that pits the best team from every continent against each other. Should Guardiola's side make it through Tuesday's semi-final against Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds, they face a final against either Brazilian side Fluminese or Egyptian club Al-Ahly for silverware the club has never won before.
As much as the trophy is an ambition, City are leaving for it on a low. Two late goals for Crystal Palace turned a comfortable home win into more dropped points on Saturday, and leaders Liverpool could be 12 points clear of the Blues by the time they return from Saudi Arabia.

Guardiola admitted the team could be flying out in better circumstances as they jet off hours after the Palace draw, but they cannot afford to stay low if they are to get themselves into the mindset needed to get back on track. That starts against Urawa Red Diamonds.
"The seven hour flight would be better with a result but it is what it is," Guardiola said. "Now we are down and we lift as quick as possible to go and compete there."
