Manchester City star Jack Grealish cut a frustrated figure after the final whistle sounded at Goodison Park after a tangle with Everton defender Nathan Patterson.
Grealish and Patterson went toe-to-toe throughout the 90 minutes as City resumed their Premier League charge with a comeback victory on Wednesday night. Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva netted in that 3-1 win for Pep Guardiola and his newly-crowned world champions.
Guardiola's side were 1-0 down at the half-time break after City-schooled Jack Harrison, who made his way at the Etihad Stadium between 2018 and 2021, opened the scoring. City showed their mettle, though, to pick up a crucial three points on Merseyside.

An intriguing battle between Grealish and Patterson - who were both shown yellow cards in the match - provided viewers with a subplot at Goodison Park and their exchange did not halt when John Brooks sounded his whistle for full-time. At that juncture, Grealish remonstrated with the on-field official.
In the final moments, Grealish and Patterson exchanged a few words by the touchline and it was remarked on TV commentary for Amazon Prime Video that Grealish had offered Patterson his hand before the game had ended as the Everton man rejected that peace offering - following it up with a little shove.
As the cameras switched into post-match mode, a visibly frustrated Grealish was seen speaking with Brooks and pointing towards Patterson and the City player did likewise when shaking hands with Everton teammate, Michael Keane, before James Tarkowski did his best to calm Grealish down.
