The Manchester City academy graduate has excelled for Pep Guardiola's side after playing a key role in their record fourth consecutive Premier League title. Foden scored 27 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions for City in 2023/24.

"It makes me sad that a player of his quality is just in and out of the game," he told BBC Sport. "It's just disappointing we're not able to get the best out of him."
Speaking to England's in-house media in Germany, Foden defended the overall performance against Serbia and insisted the three points were the most important thing.
"The first game in a major tournament is always the most difficult. It's important to get off to a win and we did that," he said. "It was difficult at times, obviously we had to defend and dig deep. But I think it shows a different side to us and if we're going to win something, I think that we have to do that."
